Hi there once again,

Guess what? Now that I'm 7 months old, I finally got my complete freedom ! No more sleeping in my cage at night, I get to roam the whole house whenever I feel like it. I suppose that since I've got over chewing new interesting things around the house, mum is not worried anymore. Yep, now I only chew on my favorite rawhide bone and I also have my favorite soft toys to play around with.

For the past two weeks, dad's sister and her hubby came to our house for a 12 day holiday, they're from Singapore, and as usual I was very excited as I thought I've got new friends to play with. But alas, both of them are pretty afraid of dogs. Can u imagine ? Afraid of a cute puppy like me....?? They don't know what they're missing, but I guess not everybody loves dogs....

Anyway, heard dad might send my photo to "The Star" newspaper for a cutest dog contest. Hope I do get to win it as I heard that there's a doggie goodies pack (sponsored by FRONTLINE/HEARTGARD products) for the 3 winners every fortnightly. Yep, I know it's almost a month since I've posted stories to my blog so my apologies to all of you. I fell sick last week and had diarrhea for about 2 to 3 days. Mum didn't think it was too serious and she went on to the internet to do some research on my symptoms. Most did advise that for mild cases, pets can also take the same medication as a child. So mum bought some from a pharmacy nearby and in about a day and a half, I was back to my normal self.

Anyway, yesterday(Tuesday) was bath day and I'm beginning to enjoy it. At first, mum was using cold water and I hate it. I was practically shivering every time I take my bath, but now with a hot shower, its kinda nice. Its so ticklish when the spray of hot water touches my skin. See some of my photos below.

Sandra celebrated her birthday on Sunday (13th July) at MacDonald's with her classmates but I was left at home. I wanted to join in the fun but dad says that pets are not allowed, but on the bright side, she gave me one of her presents she received, a nice cute teddy bear... okay, not actually give me but "share share" , that's what she said.

Guess what? My front row of permanent teeth has grown and that puts a smile back in my face. And true enough, I'm getting the real juicy cooked pork ribs that mum promised earlier for me to chew on. Even though I only get to chew on that once every few days, hey, it's better than nothing, right? Moreover, I have my rawhide bone to chew on anytime I want.

Now that I'm 5+ months old, I'm getting more freedom now. No more putting up in my cage whenever mum is away for short trips, I guess she more or less trusts me that I won't chew on the sofa !! I don't need sofa, I wanna a real bone.

Last weekend, mum and Sandra went to Toby's Pet Shop in Ayer Itam and got me some new goodies. Mmmm, I love those new snacks. Did I tell you that I've put on another kilogram already ! Must be from those lovely snacks, I don't mind though.

See how time flies when you are having a good time? These past 2 weeks of school holidays have been a great time for me. I've met a couple of new friends which I'll tell you a little later. Remember my milk teeth that dropped a couple of days ago? I can feel my new permanent teeth starting to grow already. Hopefully that equates to getting to chew on some real bones !! I've seen mum throw away some juicy pork ribs, and when I asked for them earlier, she said I was too young for that !!

On Monday, Sandra and I helped mum wash her car and it was fun playing on the wet floor. But the water really messed up my beautiful coat and I look horrible !

Ivan's friend Eric stayed over for 2 nites and Eric was always telling me how cute I was. We played many games together and for the first time I was let out of the house to play with them.

You'll never know how many new scents I picked up. I never knew there are so many other dogs staying around my place, but I didn't managed to meet any that evening.

Got me another new friend on 3rd Jun when Sandra's friend Emma come over to visit. Oh ya, she came with her mum and younger sis(Rachael) and her maid. I was quite excited and chased them, Emma was okay but Rachael was a bit scared of me. Emma loves to cuddle me and I love to play with them too. Sandra was invited over to their house the next day, but mum refused to take me along.....

Woke up this morning and realised my missing front bottom row teeth ! Did it drop yesterday, the day before? Did I eat it ?? Learnt from dad that its my milk teeth and it starts dropping around age 4 to 7 months.

Didn't know that, thought it only happens to human children only. Overheard dad telling mum that when my new set of teeth starts to grow, it'll make me wanna chew on anything. At my age, I'd love to chew on anything, not only when I'm teething. Luckily, they've bought me my favorite rawhide chewies and that helps the furniture !!

These past few days has been great. With the school holidays, Sandra and Ivan have been spending lots of time with me, so its fun, fun and games and more games. Her friend Emma might be dropping by on Monday so I've got a new friend to play with.....

Oh yeah, almost forgot. I was telling about the doggie fashion show in my previous blog entry on 18th May, so here it is. Ain't some of the models cute. Hope I'll be able to meet some of them soon. Maybe someday, I'll be a model too !

doctor's appointment

about to leave home to visit the Vet,

Woke up this morning and the first thing I hear from mum is that its time to visit the vet for my 3rd jab. It was like just yesterday that I had my 2nd jab and today it's the 3rd one.... mmm how time flies. Anyway, mum bathed me today as the vet did tell her earlier that I can't take a bath for a week after the jab. He should have said 2 weeks or more, don't really fancy bath time.

Left home around 2.30pm and the ride there took us about 40 minutes. Dad took me to my regular vet, Dr Teoh from Peng Aun Veterinary Clinic in Sungai Dua, Penang. The moment we walked in, there were about 6 other dogs waiting. Mum was talking to another lady who brought her male Shih Tsu for checkup due to hair loss. Tried talking to him, but he's an arrogant fellow. There were another couple who brought their two toy poodles, but one of them was quite fierce, barking at a few of us. In fact, he was barking at all of us.

Waited about an hour, then I was called in. Initially I was scared, shivering all over when they placed me on the stainless steel examination table. But the vet managed to calm my nerves. I think he managed to calm mum's nerve too, as she looked worried too. Of course the praises that the vet showered on me did help a lot, saying how cute I was and also mentioned that I've put on 1kg since my last visit. I'm now 3.56kg, hope I don't grow too fat.

I was given a 10-in-1 jab, anybody wants to explain what's its for ??? It didn't hurt much though, just like an ant bite. Came back about 5.15pm, took a nap and when I woke up, I felt sore where the vet put his needle in me! Gosh, I can't even run and jump to greet Sandra when she came back from school. Mum knew what was happening as the vet did mention that I might feel a little sore. Not being my usual self, I just lay quietly the whole evening. But that brought a lot of pampering from everyone and that makes up for the pain.

Time to say adios, need to take my nap now., woof woof...

Yep, Sundays are the best. Everyone in the family is home, and it's family day...that includes me. Just back from a short trip with dad, Sandra and her friend to 7-11 to get some things for mum (see picture of me, Sandra and Jia Qi just back from 7-11) I love to go for rides, especially with the open windows...mmm new places, new smells. I wanted to mark my spot, but then Sandra refused to let me down. Now my friends won't know I was there a little while ago, what a shame.

Now that I'm a bit older ( 4 months and 3 days to be exact) , mum has been introducing some new menu into my diet. All I can say is that everything new tastes good to me. Yum Yum !! Let me tell you a secret. I'll do anything for a snack, that's why I'm learning all the new tricks mum teaches me. Well, the praises do help too.

Its a city that stretches along the Adriatic Sea in Northern Italy, with a population of approx. 280,000 people. Monday blues

Just heard from dad that his good friend and wife (Teh & Jasmine) has arrived safely at Bari, the capital city of the province of Bari, on the Adriatic Sea in Italy. Heard they're on a 2 week Mediterranean cruise.

Dad just received a picture MMS from Teh about 10 minutes ago, which showed that the ship has just arrived in Greece. I'll put up some of the photos that dad received. I'll keep you updated on their travels, so all you friends of Teh & Jasmine, do visit my blog for latest updates on their journey.

Hmmm, imagine going on a cruise there. Wonder they'll ever take on pets on a cruise, I mean, WELL-Trained pets. I'm already toilet trained already, you know... so what's the worry !!!

Ooops, Ivan's just back from school, coz' I've just heard the doorbell. Gotta go and welcome him and hopefully playtime again. C u soon.........

Today I got my first real bone !!! You'll never know how good it feels when you bite down on a real tasty pork rib, even though it was just a small piece. The moment mum gave me that piece, I took it to my favorite place on the rug and for the next 15minutes, it was heaven. Before today, it was dog food, dog food and dog food and I'm beginning to get tired of it. Oops, dad is staring at me now... ok, ok, that new liver dog snack was pretty good too !!! If u readers do take pity on me, I'd welcome any new good tasting snacks....... Hey, snacks are the best part of life for me !!! Yum yum !!!

Sandra has just finished her exams and yippie, I've got back my playmate. I just enjoy play times with her and Ivan too. Ivan is a bit rough but then again, so can I. Dad says that if I've got the guts, he'll train me to be a guard dog !! So u better watch out !!

You all have to wait a little while longer to see my new videos on You Tube, my dad is having some problems with the video editing software, I think. So be patient, okay ? By the way , I heard from dad that my earlier videos on You Tube has been watched by people from 19 countries already, not bad, eh? So do keep the emails coming, I'll try to reply them all.

time goes by....

Five days has past, see how time flies. By the way, I'm back to my normal self. No more itchiness and the rashes in my right ear has healed. Heard from mum that it was not rashes as I thought earlier, but ear-mites actually. My,my, where did I ever get that from ?? I've been indoors mostly, and the only time outdoors was a few rides in my dad's car. Anyway, the "TROY Ear canker drops" from the vet sure did the trick.

These past few days has been a bit lonely for me. Mum is busy with Sandra as she's having her Year 2 exams this week. After dinner, it's only studies and more studies for Sandra. I'm glad I don't have to go through exams though. Anyway, heard its only for a week, so I guess I'll have more time with her and Ivan soon.

Thanks to those who have emailed me after seeing my videos on You Tube. Your comment and praises sure motivates me to learn more. I'm sure if you show love and patience to your pets, they'll be happy and willing to learn new tricks too...... c u soon !

It's been about 4 days since I last updated my blog 'coz I've been busy, with mum trying to teach me new tricks, visiting the vet and also having a friend over to visit me.

Taking about my friend, it was such a happy day for me on Sunday(27 April). Dad's cousin and her daughter brought over their 3 month old Golden Retriever to visit. The moment FiFi (that's her name, I was told) came into the house, we clicked instantly and in no time we were busy sniffing each other out and started to play together. Being a Golden Retriever, even though we're about the same age, she was easily double my size, so I was always knocked about. But it was fun though, chasing one another, getting into a wrestling match, getting snacks from mum, etc.

After about an hour over, it was time for FiFi to go home and I tried to persuade mum to let FiFi stay on, but to no avail. It was sad to see her leave, and I'm looking forward to seeing her again.

Anyway, I was taken to a vet in Farlim, Penang on Tue afternoon. There were some rashes in my right ear and mum wasted no time in bringing me there. The drive there was fun, as I could put my head out the car's window, and enjoy new scents all along the way. In the reception area, there were some friends around, but I didn't get their names though. There was another cute Shih Tsu about 2 years old, and an ugly looking guy (mum told me it was a Pug, hmmmm)

When my turn came, the vet examined my ear and before I knew it, he started pulling out the hair around my ears with a tweezer, I think. And I was screaming at him to stop !! Doesn't he know that it hurts like hell ?? No more vet visits for me again, I hope....... But I'm glad the medicine he gave made the itchiness go away, so no more scratching my ear.

By the way, I've learned a few more tricks and hopefully, you'll get to see my videos soon on You Tube, ie., if dad isn't too busy to upload for me..... till my next entry, woof woof to you

It's been a hectic 3 weeks since I've moved in to my new home. With so much attention from everyone, at times I feel washed out. Hopefully, in due time, I'll have some time on my own to catch up on my beauty sleep.

Anyway, mum (Kathy) has been busy fussing over me. Initially, she has been giving me a bath every other day, and I was beginning to dread bathtime. I think she must hv surfed the net to get more info, that's why I overheard her saying that I'm gonna bathe only once a week from now onwards. I wouldn't want my fur and skin to be dried up like a prune !! So now she only uses a damp towel once a day to keep me clean... hmmm, that's more like it.

Hey, over these past 3 weeks, I've learned a couple of new tricks and dad(Peter) was telling me that he'll upload some of my videos on to You Tube. He says that I'll be a "home-movie" star. Well, I hope it'll mean I'll be getting more of my favorite snacks..........

Mum has been teaching me how to sit up on my hind legs with both front paws bent in front. Mind you, it wasn't easy at first, kept losing my balance. Luckily, she was very patient and the "Jerhigh" dog snack (chicken flavor) sure helped !!

Playing fetch with Sandra was fun. Of course, at first I fetch whatever was thrown, but kept it in my mouth, especially when it was my favorite toy and I didn't want to give it back. Hey, I love my toys but when when snacks was given, I knew then what obedience training was all about. Of course, I love praises too.........

hi again,

where was I? oh ya, to continue with my story....

my new owners brought me to my new home that day itself and I was so busy sniffing out the new environment. You know-lah, new furniture, floor mats, rooms, it was fun with so many things to explore. Didn't get much sleep though, everyone in the new family trying to get my attention. Don't they know I need my beauty sleep too ??

My first nite was terrible. Couldn't sleep well, and in between, I was shouting my heart out. I guess I must have woken up the whole household as my new family tried to comfort me. They don't understand that I still miss my mum and dad, and my six other siblings.

The next morning was much better. I found new interesting places and gladly mark my favourite spots around the house. My new mum kept yelling "paper paper" whenever I found a new spot to "wee wee" , isn't it rude when she kept interrupting my business ???? Hmmm, if only I can talk, I'll also shout "paper paper" when they go do their business !!

It took me about a week before I understood that they wanted me to "wee wee" on the newspaper. Can't they just tell me so, like "woof, wooof, bark, bark, woooffff, " and I'll gladly do it. It's so easy when they can start to speak my language. Humans can be so hard to understand sometimes.......

Anyway, dad got me a new house that day, and it was ok, but kinda small. Overheard him telling mum that Shih Tsu are a small breed and don't need a big house. If I can afford it, I'll get my own penthouse one day.... just wait n see !!!

gotta go now. My brother, Ivan, wants to use the computer to play Maple story now. Hmmm, I'd rather be chewing on my favorite bone........... (tbc)

Hi all,

My name is feifei and I am a 3 month old Shih Tsu puppy. I was born on 14th January 2008. My mum is Ruby and my dad is Fei Tuit. My mum gave birth to sextuplets and my original owner already have 7 Shih Tsu's in the family and my brothers, sisters and I, was sent to a Pet shop in Tanjung Bungah, Penang, to be sold when I was 2 months old.

Poor me, even though my mum and dad still come to see me whenever they come to the Pet shop for grooming, I knew that I won't see them anymore soon. True enough, on the 26th March, I saw a couple with their 8yr old daughter walked into the shop. I was let out by the Pet shop owner and after being cooped up for ages, I welcomed the company. I took an immediate liking to the small little girl and I can see from her eyes that she loved me too. The girl's mum and dad also mentioned that I looked so adorable and both took turns to carry me.

The Pet shop owner and the couple then went aside and discussed some matters, I guess negotiating how much I'm worth. I stayed with the little girl and we both became instant friends...... (to be continued)
